Outhouse Project

 Let's talk Outhouses,
you know those little buildings
out behind the house where you
get relief while holding your nose, LOL

 But before that . . .

I've been saving more seed.

They will be a nice way to
save money next Spring.

Bringing in the last of the tomatoes
to enjoy.
You just do not get that amazing taste
from store bought tomatoes.

Our weather has been beautiful . . .
chilly mornings and evenings with warm
and pleasant afternoons.

This is our home, built in 1905.
(this photo is Spring a couple of years ago)
The point that I want to make is . . .

When our house was built
it most definitely did not have
indoor plumbing.
(this photo is also from another year
our leaves are not down yet this year)

It most certainly had one of these
in the backyard.

Steve and I spent Friday & Saturday
afternoon building this.

Here's the door sitting on the worktable.

It had to have a moon, right?

We put it out back by our compost bins
in the area we call our meadow.
The neighbors may be getting a bit nervous
seeing it so close to the fence . . .
but no worry, it's not a working privy,
but instead it will be used to store
our garden tools.

I just think it adds a cute touch
to our little country home :)

The best part is that it did not cost
us a penny . . . the boards were from
a fence we took out this Spring.
They have been leaning up against the
well-house and needing a purpose in life.
The pyramid  blocks were left here from the
former owner of the house.
The hinges were bought for some project
years ago that we never did.

Not one penny . . . that's a bargain!!!
