Love At First Sight! Bien And Chiki Reveal How They First Met

Sauti Sol’s lead vocalist Bien Aimé just recently opened up to his fans on how he met his wife Chiki few years back before they started dating and eventually became lifetime partners. Their’s seems to be a very interesting love story.

The dance choreographer and Vybez Radio Presenter Chiki who’s Swiss-Nigerian was born and raised in East London, UK. Chiki happened to come to Kenya when her Nigerian friends were moving into Kenya and she had to tag along.

Speaking during the latest episode of Sol Family’s docu-series, Bien revealed that he was attending an event in Nairobi when he met his long-time friend Emmanuel Jambo, a popular photographer, who was also present for the event. Emmanuel happened to be with Chiki who was standing at the parking lot with him, and little did he know that Emmanuel was their mutual friend. So he assumed that the two were dating. Bien was like, “Emmanuel unachapa kitu safi.”

On the night of the event, Bien and Chiki happened to share a table, and the two ended up chatting for so long. Her IQ even got him thinking that Chiki was a very intelligent woman. And just like most guys, Bien dropped that question, “Won’t your boyfriend mind seeing you talking to me this long?” This question shocked Chiki, but she went straight on and told him that she and Emmanuel we’re not dating. Revealing how he had been single for almost a year at that time, he wasn’t really looking for love in Chiki, but he felt like he was drinking a fresh glass of juice when talking to her.

On Chiki’s side of the story, she wasn’t really into love at first sight, because that’s not what she believed in and will never do, though she felt a connection with Bien on that very first day. So, the two exchanged numbers, and later on Bien invited her for lunch. Bien being the luhya he is, he took her to Mama Oliech’s kibandaski, a popular fish joint in Nairobi, and ordered his favourite food, fish with ugali. But this was not what Chiki had expected. She didn’t love ugali because of their culture difference, and instead opted for fish and chapati. They enjoyed their lunch and afterwards went to have drinks.

The two had so much fun and it was like they were not letting each other go. As they were turning, their lips eventually met and yes....The two then moved in together but kept their relationship under cover for a year before coming out publicly about their relationship.

The two as a couple look so perfect and adorable together they also share similar interests and hobbies, and they’ve been gracing our social media timelines with their dance moves and flexing their bodies.
